FAQ’s – QED Transition

On June 30, 2016, we will be moving our calibration center from Colton, CA. to Dexter, MI. This move to a more centralized location will allow us to better serve our customer base. For our Latin America Customers

Beginning June 30, 2016, all instruments returned for calibration or repair must be shipped to the following address:

Rest assured that while we are moving our physical location, we remain committed to providing you with the same world-class service and support that you have come to expect. We recognize that this move may raise some questions with regard to your calibration and service experience. Listed below, you will find answers to some of the more frequently asked questions.

QED Transition

Q: Why are you moving?

A: We were acquired by QED Environmental Systems, Inc. in early 2016. As a result, we are consolidating our manufacturing facilities, Service Department and Calibration Center to a more centralized location.

Q: Will my turn around time be affected?

A: While some of our west coast customers may experience some additional transit time with Ground shipments to/from Michigan, you can expect similar completion times for all of your calibration orders.

Q: Will I receive the same type of service?

A: Yes. There will be no changes to the types of service that we provide.

Q: Will I receive the same level of service?

A: Yes. We are committed to maintaining the same premier quality service and support that you have come to expect.

Q: Will the Michigan Calibration facility be ISO certified?

A: Yes. The Michigan facility is currently working through the ISO certification process.

Q: How do I request a return authorization number?

Q: When should I start sending my analyzer to Dexter, MI. for calibration?

A: You should begin sending your analyzers to Dexter on June 30, 2016.

Q: What happens if I accidentally ship my unit to the Colton, CA. facility after June 30th?

A: Any analyzers that are accidentally sent to Colton after June 30th, will be automatically forwarded to the new calibration facility in Dexter. Please note that this will cause a slight delay in our receipt of the unit due to the increase in transit time.
